Pakistan Released PKR 664 Billion Under Development Funds From Jul-Mar

Islamabad April 21 2025: The government of Pakistan has authorized the utilization of development funds amounting to PKR 664.621 billion, out of a total allocation of PKR 1100 billion, for various ongoing and new social sector uplift projects of the federal ministries and divisions during the first nine months (July-March) of the fiscal year 2024-25 under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

Out of the total authorized/disbursed amount, the total amount spent so far on the development projects during the corresponding period stood at PKR 399.372 billion, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives on Friday.

The detail showed that PKR 169.639 billion, out of a total allocated amount of PKR 255.854 billion, has been disbursed to corporations including National Highway Authority (NHA), National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) and Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO).

For the Aviation Division, funds amounting to PKR 2.206 billion have been disbursed and PKR 405.30 million for the Board of Investment, Similarly, the government authorized PKR 48.640 billion to the Cabinet Division, PKR 2.904 billion to the Ministry of Climate Change, PKR 771.86 million to the Commerce Division, PKR 254.80 million to the Ministry of Communications (other than NHA), PKR 3.231 billion to the Defence Division, PKR 2.076 billion to the Defence Production Division, PKR 322.35 million for the Establishment Division, PKR 12.450 billion to the Federal Education and Professional Training Division, PKR 2.129 billion to the Finance Division, PKR 156.598 billion to Provinces and Special Areas, PKR 41.669 billion to the Higher Education Commission, PKR 4.109 billion to the Housing and Works Division, PKR 62.40 million to the Human Rights Division, PKR 1.494 billion to the Industries and Production Division, PKR 2.205 billion to the Information and Broadcasting Division, PKR 8.375 billion to the Information Technology and Telecom Division, PKR 1.207 billion to Inter Provincial Coordination Division, PKR 5.232 billion to the Interior Division, PKR 558 million to the Law and Justice Division, PKR 1.560 million to the Maritime AffaiPKR Division, PKR 59.33 million to the Narcotics Division, PKR 8.374 billion to the National Food Security and Research Division, PKR 14.850 billion to the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division, PKR 355.25 million to the National Heritage and Culture Division, PKR 153.80 million to the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority, PKR 1.950 billion to the Petroleum Division, PKR 7.492 billion to the Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Division, PKR 21 billion to the Railway Division, PKR 175 million to the Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Division, PKR 5.817 billion to the Revenue Division, PKR 3.989 billion to the Science and Technological Research, PKR 313.85 million to Special Investment Facilitation Council Division, PKR 414.42 million to the States and Frontier Regions Division and PKR 101.758 billion to the Water Resources Division.
