Islamabad April 16 2023: The government on Saturday decided to increase the prices of petrol by PKR 10 per liter for the next 15 days to pass on the impact of increase in petroleum prices in the international prices and exchange rate variation.
However, High Speed Diesel (HSD) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices remain unchanged at PKR 293 per liter and PKR 174.68 per liter.
Average platts prices for Motor gasoline (Petrol) and HSD increase by PKR 15.70 per liter and PKR 7.60 per liter. However, government lower the PSO exchange rate adjustments for both petrol and HSD to allow minimum increase in prices.
According to the statement issued here by the Finance Division, these prices would be applicable from April 16, 2023.
The petrol will be sold at the price of PKR 282.00 per litre after today's increase of PKR 10 per liter. Moreover, the government increased the Kerosene (SKO) by PKR 5.78 per liter to PKR 186.07 per liter.
