Islamabad September 13 2024: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb said here on Thursday that all matters related to the agreement with International Monetary Fund (IMF) have been resolved successfully.
In a statement here, the minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s team, the IMF negotiation team, and relevant institutions for their key roles during the final stage.
The minister said, the agreement will be finalized at the IMF Board meeting this month, adding the country’s economy was now moving towards growth after achieving stability.
Aurangzeb expressed the hope that reduction in the policy rate by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) would help increase investment and business activities in the country, which would lead to the creation of new job opportunities.
