Karachi May 15 2023: As per the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the government’s domestic debt stood at PKR 35,076 billion as of Mar 2023 compared to PKR 34,156 billion as of Feb 2023.
Pakistan’s Debt to GDP ratio stands at 72 percent as of Mar 2023.
The external debt of the country has increased by 47.6 percent YoY to PKR 22,047 billion as of Mar 2023.
Also, the outstanding position of Naya Pakistan Certificates has decreased to USD 555 million as of Mar 2023.
The central Government total debt also increased by 32.8 percent YoY to PKR 57,123 billion.
