Islamabad June 15 2024: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced a reduction of PKR 10.69 per unit in the price of electricity for industries.
In a statement from the Prime Minister House, it is said that this is a big package of electricity for the improvement of the country’s industry. According to the announcement, the price of electricity has been reduced by PKR 10.69 to increase the industry and exports.
The statement said that due to the special efforts of the Prime Minister, the price of electricity for the industry and export sector has been fixed at PKR 34.99 per unit.
It was suggested that as a result of the Prime Minister’s package, the burden of more than PKR 200 billion will be removed from the industries. The statement said that the package was made to enable industries to compete with the cost of goods in the global market.
According to the Prime Minister’s House, this package will reduce the production cost of industrial and agricultural products and significantly increase exports and speed up industrial development.
