Islamabad June 9, 2023: The federal government has presented a budget of 14,460 billion rupees for the next financial year, while the revenue target has been set at 9,200 billion rupees.
The deficit of the federal budget in the new fiscal year is estimated to be 7,574 billion rupees, which is 6,400 billion in the revised estimate of the current fiscal year. It has been proposed to keep 7,303 billion rupees for the payment of interest on the outstanding debts of the country.
According to the budget document of the new financial year of the federal government, it has been proposed to keep 1,804 billion rupees for defense in the next financial year.
According to the budget document, it has been proposed to keep 1,464 billion in the form of grants. The government has proposed to keep 1,074 billion rupees in the budget for subsidy.
The government has proposed 714 billion rupees for running civil administration expenses. The government has proposed to keep 1,150 billion for the annual development program in the new financial year.
