New York July 6 2022: Oil prices fell in volatile trading on Wednesday, extending Tuesday's heavy losses as growing fears of a global recession outweighed supply concerns.
Brent crude futures fell by $3.25, or 3.45%, to $99.22 a barrel by 1453 GMT, having risen by more than $3 earlier in the session.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was down $3.69, or 3.71%, at $95.81 after rising by more than $2 earlier in the day.
