Islamabad May 9 2025: Mari Energies Limited is pleased to announce gas discovery at Soho-1 exploratory well in Massive Sands of Lower Goru Formation, drilled in the Sujawal Block, located in Sujawal district, Sindh Province.
The testing of the Lower Goru (Massive Sand) Formation has shown a flow of 30.01 MMSCFD of gas at a 64/64″ choke, at Well Head Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of 1,482.5 psig.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the first gas discovery in the Lower Goru (Massive Sand) in the block. It has opened a new avenue for exploration in the Massive Sands.
MariEnergies is the Operator of Sujawal Block having 100% working interest.
This breakthrough marks a significant step toward addressing Pakistan’s growing gas demand by leveraging domestic resources, while simultaneously enhancing the country’s hydrocarbon resource base.
