Karachi December 5 2022: The Environmental Protection Agency, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has accorded the approval for setup of Calcium Carbide (an import substitute) manufacturing plant by Ghani Chemical Industries Limited, at Hattar Economic Zone, District Haripur.
Note that the Company had already opened Letter of Credits (LC's) for import of plant & machinery for setting up of Calcium Carbide manufacturing plant and the largest (275 TPD) and 5th ASU plant of the Company for manufacturing of Medical and Industrial Gases at Hattar Economic Zone, District Haripur. Approval from Environmental Protection Agency, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for setup of ASU plant for manufacturing of Medical and Industrial Gases at Hattar Economic Zone has already obtained.
Currently Ghani Chemical Industries Limited are importing and trading in Calcium Carbide from last many years and this manufacturing facility of the Company will not only an import substitute by meeting entire demand of Pakistan market but will also open the doors to earn foreign exchange by exporting to Afghanistan, Middle East, SARC and other countries."
