Karachi October 25 2024: Kot Addu Power Company bid for the proposed K-Electric solar project to be set-up at Deh Metha Ghar, Sindh for 150 MW is the lowest bid at proposed bid tariff of 9.8319 PKR/kWh (3.4061 Cents/kWh at reference exchange rate for USD/PKR 288.65).
The competitive bidding for the Project was carried out by K-Electric under the NEPRA (Electric Power Procurement Regulations), 2022. The formal award for the Project to the Company will be subject to approval from NEPRA based on the Report of Auction and Evaluation Committee of K-Electric.
Kot Addu Power Company Limited was incorporated in Pakistan on April 25, 1996 as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (now Companies Act, 2017). The principal activities of the Company are to own, operate and maintain a multi-fuel fired power station with fifteen generating units with a nameplate capacity of 1,600 MW in Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan and to sell the electricity produced therefrom to a single customer, Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
