Islamabad December 01 2021: In a monthly price review, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has slashed the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders with effect from Wednesday (December 1). The petroleum levy is being charged Rs4,669 per MT and GST at Rs29,434.68 per MT.
The consumer price is Rs173,145.16 MT and the final price is Rs202,579.84 MT. The regulatory body stated as per Clause 3.4.5 of the LPG Policy 2016, LPG prices would be regulated with a maximum price at all levels of the supply chain.
“However, producers, marketing companies and distributors may sell below the maximum price determined from time to time,” the statement read,
On Tuesday, the OGRA announced to reduce the price of domestic cylinder (11.8 kg) by Rs168.91 to Rs2,390.44.
The price of domestic cylinder (11.8 kg) was Rs2,559.35 in November.
The prices were reduced following reduction in the production cost also reduced by Rs12,048 metric ton. In the current month, the LPG will be available at Rs202.57 per kg, which was Rs216.89 per kg in November (last month).
CPI inflation General, increased by 11.5% on year-on-year basis in November 2021 as compared to an increase of 9.2% in the previous month and 8.3% in November 2020, as per data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
On month-on-month basis, it increased by 3.0% in November 2021 as compared to increase of 1.9% in the previous month and an increase of 0.8% in November 2020.
CPI inflation Urban, increased by 12.0% on year-on-year basis in November 2021 as compared to an increase of 9.6% in the previous month and 7.0% in November 2020. On month-on-month basis, it increased by 2.9% in November 2021 as compared to increase of 1.7% in the previous month and an increase of 0.6% in November 2020.
CPI inflation Rural, increased by 10.9% on year-on-year basis in November 2021 as compared to an increase of 8.7% in the previous month and 10.5% in November 2020. On month-on-month basis, it increased by 3.1% in November 2021 as compared to increase of 2.2% in the previous month and an increase of 1.1% in November 2020.
SPI inflation on YoY increased by 18.1% in November 2021 as compared to an increase of 15.2% a month earlier and an increase of 9.9% in November 2020. On MoM basis, it increased by 3.6% in November 2021 as compared to increase of 2.1% a month earlier and an increase of 1.1% in November 2020.
WPI inflation on YoY basis increased by 27.0% in November 2021 as compared to an increase of 21.2% a month earlier and an increase of 5.0% in November 2020. WPI inflation on MoM basis increased by 3.8% in November 2021 as compared to an increase of 4.2% a month earlier and a decrease of 0.9% in corresponding month i.e. November 2020.
