Lahore January 29 2023: Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan will be the candidate of the party from all the 33 constituencies where the Election Commission has announced by-elections.
On January 27, the Election Commission had announced to hold by-elections on March 16 in 33 constituencies of the National Assembly across the country.
It should be remembered that these constituencies were declared vacant last week when Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf announced to accept the resignation of 35 members of the National Assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Among these 35 members, two women were elected to specific seats.
Meanwhile, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the political and economic situation of the country has been reviewed in the party meeting. He also demanded the early release of Fawad Chaudhry.
