Government Decides To Give Gas To Agritech On Priority Basis

Islamabad August 4 2021: Government has decided to provide gas to Agritech and Fatima Fertilizer on priority basis in order to ensure availability of fertilizer in local market.

The matter was decided in a meeting chaired by Minister of Finance to review the supply and stocks of urea fertilizers.

Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar, SAPM on Finance and Revenue Dr Waqar Masood, SAPM on Food Security Jamshed Cheema and secretaries of Finance, Industries and Production and Petroleum Division also attended the meeting.

Pakistan urea demand is about 6.2 million tonnes for the ongoing year and production would be about 6.4 million tonnes if both plants on SNGPL network runs on their full capacity, said a senior government official.
