Karachi May 25 2024: The per tola price of 24 karat gold decreased by PKR 200 and was sold at PKR 240,000 on Saturday compared to its sale at PKR 240,200 on the last trading day.
Gold prices prices drop PKR 10,400 per tola from Monday closing of PKR 250,400 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also decreased by PKR 172 to PKR 205,761 from PKR 205,933 whereas the price of 10 grams 22 karat gold went down to PKR 188,615 from PKR 188,772, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained stagnant at PKR 2,800 and PKR 2,400.54 respectively.
Gold prices in International market headed for their worst week in five and a half months as hopes of interest rate cuts by the U.S. central bank tamed.
The price of gold in the international market decreased by USD 5 to USD 2,333 from USD 2,338, the association reported.
