Karachi March 25 2023: According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by PKR 1,500 per tola for 24 Karat on Friday at PST 17: 46.
After this increase, the price of gold per tola in the country has reached 2 lakh 7 thousand.
During the week the price of Gold decreased by PKR 1,200 per tola.
The price of 24 karat 10 grams of gold trading at PKR 1 lakh 77 thousand 470, whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat went up to PKR 162,680, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The per tola silver is trading at PKR 2,445.
In the International market, Gold dipped on Friday in a volatile week that saw bullion prices north of the key $2,000 figure as bank contagion fears bolstered both safe-haven demand and bets on a pause in Federal Reserve rate hikes.
As per Reuters, the U.S. dollar rose about 0.5%, making the greenback-priced gold more expensive among overseas buyers on Friday.
Spot gold fell 0.8% to $1,977.01 per ounce by 2:34 p.m. EDT (1834 GMT), after it rose to $2,002.89 earlier in the session. U.S. gold futures slipped 0.6% to settle at $1,983.80, Reuters reported.
