Islamabad May 6 2025: Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd, the largest urea manufacturer of Pakistan, is working to become shariah compliant, according to research report.
“regarding shariah compliance, management said that they are working on it and expects company to be shariah compliant in upcoming months” states Minhal Ali research Analyst at Insight Securities.
Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd is not compliant as it fails to meet Investment and Income ratios criteria, according to PSX. As per latest financials, company has PKR 44.8 billion in shariah compliance investments against PKR 87.3 in conventional.
“On pressure enhancement project, management said that Phase-1 is expected to be complete by year-end, while Phase-2 is anticipated to conclude by mid-2026” states Minhal.
Collaborating with Mari Energies Limited, the FFC is part of an industry-wide initiative to maintain the required delivery pressure from MPCL’s Habib Rahi Limestone (HRL) Reservoir, crucial for fertilizer supplies. Additionally, to diversify its raw material sources, the Company is actively engaged in establishing a Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) pipeline, in partnership with Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL). This strategic move enhances the Company’s resilience and supports sustainable production in the face of evolving gas supply dynamics.
“Company mentioned that they have established 100 sona centers across Pakistan and ~81,000 farmers registered up till now” she added.
