Islamabad October 2 2022: The Federal Cabinet of Pakistan has decided to take legal action against former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the audio leaks scandal.
According to the summary, after the formal approval of this decision by the Federal Cabinet, legal action will be taken against the former Prime Minister and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and two former Federal Ministers.
During the prime ministership of Imran Khan, the name of his principal secretary Azam Khan is also included in this list.
A senior government official confirmed to the BBC on condition of anonymity that the Federal Investigation Agency has been ordered to investigate.
It should be noted that in the audio leaks that came to light recently, former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the then Principal Secretary Azam Khan and Federal Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi were heard talking about a diplomatic post.
In an interview given to a private TV channel yesterday, Imran Khan confirmed the conversation and said that the conversation on the secure line of Prime Minister House was hacked, which is a matter of concern.
