FBR Collects Rs 6 trillion for the first time

Islamabad June 28 2022: For the first time in the history of the country, the tax collection of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reached Rs 6,000 billion.

According to the FBR, as of last week, the FBR's tax collection was up to Rs 5,829 billion.

A spokesman for the FBR said that for the first time in the history of the country, more than Rs 6,000 billion was collected, the initial target of Rs 5,829 billion for the year 2021-22 was achieved last week.


According to the FBR spokesperson, Rs 2,205 billion was collected in income tax, Rs 2,773 billion in sales tax and Rs 1,007 billion in customs duty in the current financial year.

The spokesperson further said that the FBR is committed to the tax revenue target of Rs. 6100 billion by June 30, 2022.
