Lahore January 22 2023: The Election Commission of Pakistan has appointed Syed Mohsin Naqvi as the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
Apart from being a journalist, Syed Mohsin Naqvi is also the owner of a private media channel.
A meeting of the Election Commission was held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in which the Secretary Election Commission and other members participated to appoint the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
In the meeting, the four names sent by the government and the opposition were reviewed.
It should be remembered that Parvaiz Elahi had suggested the names of Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhira and Naveed Akram Cheema for caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
While Hamza Shehbaz suggested the names of Mohsin Naqvi and Ahad Cheema.
