Karachi June 24 2021: The Board of Directors of the Cherat Cement Company Limited (CHCCL) has approved the installation of a green field cement plant at D.I. Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Province.
The plant will have an installed production capacity of 11,000 tons per day or 3.2 tons per anum of clinker with total cost of the project is estimated to be approximately PKR34 billion. The project is expected to come online in 3 years.
For the purposes aforesaid, the Board has approved the acquisition of certain assets including immovable property and mining leases in D.I. Khan from a company for a price of PKR1.3 billion.

PSX to launch Single Stock Options Contracts
Currently, CHCCL has production capacity of 4.5 million tons. Company is working on BMR for Cement Line 1 and installation of a new Crusher at the quarry face is progressing as planned. BMR will cost PKR3.5 billion and is expected to be completed by June 2022. Alongside work on installation of 13 MW solar panels at the plant is also in progress. These initiatives will help the Company to improve its operational efficiencies by reducing cost of production.
