Islamabad August 5 2023: The Council of Common Interest (CCI) has unanimously approved the seventh census, which means that the elections will be held according to results of the new census.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister, a unanimous poll of the results (of the people) was given in the Panchaj meeting of ICI under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. “All four chief ministers, representatives of all political parties agreed on the results of the census”.
On this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that “It is completely welcome as the first census in Pakistan.” Governments and Pakistan Statistics played a very important role in this national duty.
Pakistan was told that according to the 7th Census, the present total population is 241.49 million. The country’s population growth rate was 2.5 percent, while Balochistan’s population growth rate was higher than the rest of the provinces, i.e. 3.2 percent.
The Prime Minister has said that “the population has increased by 3.5 crores in the last 6 years”. The ratio of Pakistan’s population is higher than Pakistan’s economic growth.
It creates many types of problems in the population. This is a big one for the elected government and the future in Pakistan. We must control them not only to stop the population but also to advance the pace of economic development of Pakistan.
The meeting was told that in 2023, the population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was recorded as 40.85 million, the population of Punjab was 127.68 million, the population of Sindh was 55.69 million, the population of Balochistan was 14.89 million and the population of Islamabad was recorded as 2.36 million.
