Islamabad January 16 2022: With the implementation of mini budget, advance tax at the rates of 15 percent shall be collected in the case of subscriber of internet,
mobile telephone and pre-paid internet or telephone card.
Now telephone and internet purchaser shall deduct PKR 15 on a load, charge or bill of every PKR 100 from the customers.
However, this tax deduction is adjustable against the tax payable with the return of income.
In this year budget which was presented in June 2021 government has kept the telephone and mobile bills tax rate at 10 percent for this year and 8 percent for fiscal year 2023 and onwards.
Advance tax under on mobile and internet shall not be collected from Government, a foreign diplomat, a diplomatic mission in Pakistan, or a person who produces a certificate from the Commissioner that his income during the tax year
is exempt from tax.
