Karachi May 8 2023: According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association (Pakistan), the price of gold per tola increased by PKR 1,900 per tola for 24 Karat on Monday (PST 18:21) to hit all-time high in the history of the country.
In International market Gold prices ticked up on Monday as the dollar eased and economic risks prevailed, while investors prepared for U.S. inflation data to gauge the Federal Reserve’s policy path. Spot gold rose 0.3% to $2,022.01 per ounce by 1156 GMT. U.S. gold futures were up 0.3% to $2,030.40.
After this increase, the price of gold per tola in the country has reached all time high level of 2 lakh 26 thousand 900. Pakistan Rupee drops 0.09% to end trading at 283.85 in interbank against the greenback.
During the previous week the price of Gold increased by PKR 5,500 per tola.
The price of 24 karat 10 grams of gold trading at PKR 1 lakh 94 thousand 530, whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat went up to PKR 178,318, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
Meanwhile, global gold demand fell in the first three months of 2023, the World Gold Council (WGC) said on Friday.
