Islamabad August 15 2022: LNG prices for customers on Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGP) decreased by USD 0.51/mmbtu or 2.9 percent to USD 16.95/mmbtu when compared with the previous month, revealed by OGRA on Monday.
However, LNG prices are increased by 28 percent on year on year basis for the consumers when compared to the rate of USD 16.9496 per mmbtu in August 2022. Moreover, in rupee terms, prices are 90 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
In rupee terms, the RLNG prices will be PKR 3,928 per MMBTU for August 2022 compared to PKR 2,174 in the month of August 2021.
As per the notice, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) will bring seven (6) cargoes of LNG while Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) will import only one (1) LNG cargo during August 2022.
The weighted average price of PSO is USD 16.603/MMBTU while PLL prices of LNG for the month of August 2022 will be USD 19.028/MMBTU.
Average prices of Brent for the calculation of August 2022 RLNG prices have witnessed a growth of 28% compared to August 2021. The Brent prices used for the calculation of RLNG prices for August 2022 have been calculated at USD 111.24 per barrel.
